It’s 9am and I’m nursing. The night was long and restless. I’m feeling defeated. I start to put on Netflix but then pause. What if I meditated for a few minutes? So I did and got honest. I dislike breastfeeding and pumping. It’s time consuming, at times uncomfortable, and tiring. There are other options but despite them, I want to continue nursing. I dislike breastfeeding and pumping and I want my daughter to get the emotional and physical benefits associated with nursing/breast milk. During my meditation I allowed and welcomed this dialectic. This motivated the 5 day meditation for nursing series. Anytime I speak to a friend or health professional during this postpartum period I am told, “you’re not alone”. This is for all the mamas out there, “we’re not alone”.
Each meditation is about 3 minutes and is welcomed to be extended to your liking. This is your practice, Mama.
